These checks cover text length and exact word repetition. They do not assess search demand, trademark rights, relevance, or store approval.

Make room for useful keywords

Apple recommends avoiding keyword words already used in your app name or subtitle.

Add comma-separated keywords to check for repetition.

0 / 100 bytes

Removes empty entries, spaces around commas, and duplicate full terms. Keeps phrases and your original word choices.

How we count, and the official sources

Character counts use Unicode code points, including spaces and punctuation. Emoji sequences and combining marks may contain multiple code points; check these in your store console. Keyword repetition checks match exact words without case differences. They do not identify every plural, synonym, or language-specific variant.

Apple’s App Store Connect reference specifies a 100-byte keyword limit, while its search guide describes 100 characters. This tool follows the 100-byte reference and measures UTF-8 bytes, so accented letters and non-Latin scripts can use more than one byte per character.

Limits checked September 10, 2026: Apple app name and subtitle, Apple keyword field, Apple search guidance, and Google Play listing limits.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose a store

Select Apple App Store or Google Play to load the fields and checks that apply.

  2. Paste your listing

Add your title and listing copy. Apple keyword checks also compare terms with the title and subtitle.

  3. Review and export

Fix flagged issues, review any cleaned keywords, and copy or download your draft.

Check the constraints before submission

Length and duplicate checks help you use the space available in a store listing. The Apple keyword field is checked in UTF-8 bytes using the App Store Connect reference; characters such as emoji can use more than one byte.

Keep keyword selection grounded in relevance

This checker evaluates the text you provide. It does not measure search volume, estimate ranking difficulty, or predict rankings. A technically valid listing still needs accurate claims, relevant language, and screenshots that explain the app.

A few useful details

Does this tool change my live listing?

No. It only checks the text in this page. Review the output, then copy it into your store console when you are ready.

Does passing every check guarantee approval?

No. These checks cover selected metadata constraints, not the full store review process. Store review also evaluates the app, claims, assets, policies, and other information.
